**The Bienehuus daycare center in Rathausen opened in September 2010.

**The most beautiful day nursery in central Switzerland is located directly next to the Reuss river and can be reached in a few minutes from the Seetalstrasse. Our absolutely detached single-family house offers everything you could wish for in a modern day nursery. There is over 200 m2 of space available, in addition to the group rooms with a view, there is, among other things, a separate, spacious rhythm room, a workshop. Access to the forest, the petting zoo and farm of the SSBL and a lot of green space are available in the immediate vicinity.The nursery can be reached in a few minutes by car from Emmen and Lucerne.

The childcare vouchers of Emmen, Ebikon and Lucerne can be redeemed in the crèche.**

**CKW AG (and its Group companies) reduces the daily rate for its employees.

In the event of a change of job, the crèche place is retained and the full cost contribution is automatically charged.

**The monthly fee is also to be paid in case of absence of the child, especially also in case of illness, accident, vacations, as well as for festive and public holidays.

The company vacations between Christmas/New Year are included in the monthly fee (51 instead of 52 calendar weeks per year).

If a child is cared for in addition to the agreed times, Fr. 15.- per hour will be charged or invoiced at the above individual rates.

If siblings visit our facilities, the second and each additional child receives a 10% reduction on the daily rate.**

**Rhythm "The whole life requires rhythm". (Plato)

Rhythmics can be defined with the explanation "education through movement and music" not exhaustively, but understandably. The children deal with music, make and experience music. They feel the rhythms, pick them up and transform them into movement. In the community, circle and movement games are played, there is singing, dancing and much more. The children have a whole range of musical and rhythmic instruments, scarves, balls, parachutes, hoops and special rhythmic materials at their disposal.

**In the rhythmic sequences, the following areas are playfully promoted and expanded:

Motor skills: Relationship to one's own body, gross and fine motor skills, coordination, independence, reaction and endurance, creative skills.

Emotional area: Ability to experience and emotional involvement, including sensitivity to moods and situations, as well as the ability to spontaneous, imaginative expression.

Cognitive area (thinking):
Training of the thinking ability, ability for abstraction and verbal expression. The differentiated perception with all senses and the concentration, as well as the memory are addressed.

Social area: The development of healthy self-esteem, independence, the ability to lose during the play sequence and making oneself understood are promoted. The sense of community is developed (trust, responsibility, tolerance, solidarity, cooperation and helpfulness).

o1. Location and infrastructure The Bienehuus CKW daycare center is located at Chlosterhof 2 in 6032 Emmen-Rathausen. A detached, child-friendly converted single-family house with group and specialist area rooms invite children to play and linger. As a special highlight, a cozy and inviting children's restaurant is located in the heart of the nursery. The house is located in the middle of green, unobstructable nature.
With an area of over 240m2, the nursery offers the best conditions for group work (activities, singing, playing, storytelling, etc.), work studio (painting, handicrafts, kneading, etc.), rhythm room (gymnastics, romping, balancing, making music, etc.) free play, as well as sufficient retreat and rest opportunities.
The house is embedded in the spacious nursery garden, which invites to play. There are various outdoor playground equipment, plenty of space for playing, jumping and romping and a variety of natural materials such as sand, water, wood and stones. In a few minutes we reach the forest, which invites you to walk, enjoy, marvel and experience. Also within walking distance is the Foundation for the Severely Disabled Lucerne (SSBL), which is home to a petting zoo, a farm and therapy horses.

o2. Mission The private day nursery Bienehuus CKW is an educational, family-supplementary day care offer for children of pre-school age. We see ourselves as a learning organization and strive for continuous development of our facility.

o3. Target group The nursery has a total of 24 places in two family groups, which can be booked by the day. Children are admitted to the nursery from eight weeks until they enter kindergarten.

o4. Guidelines / Supervision The Bienehuus CKW day nursery complies with the guidelines of the Swiss Day Nursery Association (KiTaS) and is a member of the association. The operation is regularly inspected by the guardianship authority and the food inspectorate. Supervision is the responsibility of Chinderhuus Rathausen GmbH in accordance with the guidelines of the guardianship authority.

o5. Sponsorship The sponsorship of the day nursery Bienehuus CKW is the Chinderhuus Rathausen GmbH.

o6. Care / Care Team Playing together, laughing, painting, singing, dancing, arguing or doing handicrafts, all this (and much more) is possible in the Bienehuus CKW day nursery. In different groups we give the children space for new contacts and experiences. The child is at the center of our pedagogical work. We take it seriously, accompany and support it on its individual path. Our caregivers create a loving atmosphere of security and trust for the children, in which they can develop and grow as individuals.

The care team includes pedagogically trained persons, apprentices and young interns. Thus, there is a good mix of expertise, youthfulness, constancy and renewal. The coordination and management is taken over by the management. We promote the further education of our employees within the scope of our financial possibilities.

o7. Opening hours / Vacations, holidays The opening hours of the day nursery Bienehuus CKW are:
Monday to Friday from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The crèche is closed between Christmas and New Year, as well as on the following feast days and holidays: Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day and Friday after Ascension Day , Whit Monday, Corpus Christi and Friday after Corpus Christi, August 1, Assumption Day, All Saints Day, Immaculate Conception.

The necessary care time per child is discussed with the parents individually and should not exceed 9 hours per day. In order to offer the child a certain constancy in the group and in the care relationship, we recommend a minimum attendance of 2 days per week.

o8. Daily schedule / Meals Children are brought to the nursery by 9 am at the latest. After snack, the children are supervised in groups. After lunch, there is a rest period during which the children sleep or pursue a quiet activity.
We pay attention to age-appropriate, healthy nutrition and the meals are freshly prepared every day. The children also receive a z'Nüni and a z'Vieri.
We ask the parents not to give the children any food, nor any sweets such as chewing gum, sweets, chocolate, etc. The children are cared for without coercion or punishment. Enjoyment of food is important, that the children eat everything is less important. When the children are tired, they are allowed to sleep, but there is no obligation to sleep. Personal hygiene, washing hands and brushing teeth should not become a procedure, but a positive experience.

09. admission criteria / admission procedure The childcare places are available to interested parents who can arrange a visit and/or request an application form. This registration is non-binding for both parties. In case of high demand, we maintain a waiting list.
As soon as a place becomes available in the foreseeable future, we will contact the parents. If the child can be admitted, this will be recorded in writing between the parents and the management.

1o. Financing / Parental Contributions Upon conclusion of the contract, a deposit of the amount of one month's fee is to be paid. This deposit will be refunded without interest if the child leaves the program on time and in writing, but will be forfeited if the child leaves the program for any other reason. The costs of the childcare places are regulated in the parent contribution regulations and are calculated taking into account the days of occupancy. The monthly statement is sent to the parents with a payment slip. If the parents no longer require a monthly invoice, this can be reported to the office.
Monthly fees are payable in advance, no later than the 28th of the month. If payment is overdue by more than 30 days, the place can be given to someone else.
If a child comes to the nursery in addition to the agreed days, the usual daily rates or (for additional individual hours) Fr. 15.- per hour will be charged.

11. admission / settling-in period After the contract has been signed, arrangements will be made regarding the date of entry, acclimatization period, costs, etc.
In order to facilitate the entry and the first time in the nursery, the parents or a parent accompany their child partly through the daily routine in the nursery. The settling-in period begins slowly, with a few hours, and increases in an adapted manner. The duration and form of the familiarization phase can change according to the child's situation. The daycare management decides on the length of the acclimation period. At the beginning of the settling-in period, an admission interview takes place.
A brief exchange about the child's condition takes place daily between the parents and the daycare staff.

**12. clothes The children should wear appropriate, durable clothing for the weather, which they can also wear when playing, doing handicrafts and outdoors. Their own spare clothes, depending on the season (including caps, gloves, swimming trunks, etc.), should always be available in the nursery. Likewise, underwear, slippers, rubber boots, rain jacket and rain pants should also be deposited in the nursery. Please label all clothes, shoes, jackets, etc. with the child's name. We will give the dirty clothes to the parents to wash at home.

13. personal toys It is nice for the child to take his/her favorite toy, cuddly toy or nuggi with him/her. However, we draw your attention to the fact that we cannot take responsibility if something is broken or lost. So please leave precious things at home, as well as weapons and war toys.

14. illness / absence of the children. In order to enable a fixed group composition, which is important for the child and the caregivers, binding attendance times of the children apply. These are determined at daycare entry according to the needs of the parents and the capacity of the daycare.

Absences cannot be compensated. For organizational reasons, absences must be reported to the childcare team by 9 a.m. at the latest. The team must be informed as early as possible (at least 2 weeks in advance) about vacation absences. Sick children must not be brought to the nursery. If a child becomes ill in the daycare during the day, parents will be notified to pick up the child. Parents are responsible for doctor's appointments. In case of emergency, we will contact a doctor or the emergency ward of a hospital and inform the parents at the same time. The cost of medical treatment is the responsibility of the parents.

15. health insurance / liability insurance. The child must be insured with a health insurance company for illness and accident. The child is not insured against accidents at the daycare center.
We recommend that parents take out private liability insurance.

16. safety For the safety of the children, measures are taken where necessary such as: Child locks, protected electrical outlets, safety strips for walks, etc. We also strive to maintain a high standard of operational hygiene.

17. pick up of a child by a third person / transport of children by car. If a child is picked up by a third party, the group leader or the nursery manager (house manager) must be informed in time. Otherwise, we will contact the parents by phone and keep the child with us in case of uncertainty.
The staff is generally allowed to take the children in private cars. However, this will only be done in exceptional cases (e.g. doctor's visit, day trip, etc.), and the children will be secured in approved child seats.

18. parent outreach. The nursery is intended to provide a variety of developmental opportunities for the individual child. It should be a new environment, learning and living space. However, these can only be utilized if the child can experience safety and security in its relationships with the educators. For this to be possible, there needs to be intensive cooperation between parents and the daycare center. We strive for good networking between educators and parents through various offers such as discussions, parents' evenings, celebrations and events. The responsibility for the work with parents lies with the manager.
Information exchange: The transition for the child from the parents to the educators or from the educators to the parents should take place smoothly for the child and sufficient time should be allowed for this. Information is usually exchanged about the child's condition or other topics. It is important for us to create an atmosphere that is as relaxed as possible in these situations and to incorporate and integrate the parents' farewell rituals.
Parent meetings: Annually (or as needed), discussions are held with parents about the child's developmental status, integration in the nursery, special features, etc. We work out targeted support measures together with the parents and try them out in everyday life. If necessary, the trained employees support the parents in educational questions or refer them to qualified specialists. We strive for a climate of mutual openness in which it is possible to address the problems that the child brings from home to the nursery or vice versa. We assume that the parents are willing to participate in these discussions.
Parent meetings: Parent meetings serve to get to know each other better in an informal atmosphere and to build mutual trust. They should provide space for spontaneous conversations and contact between parents and between parents and educators. By involving parents in activities and theme-centered events, a "togetherness" between parents, children and educators is created.

**19. public relations

• Good networking in the village and in the neighborhood is important to us. We also maintain professional contacts with a wide variety of organizations.
• The staff members attend further education courses specific to daycare centers and toddlers.
• We offer young people trial internships and thus give them an insight into the professional field of early childhood education.
• The three-year training of apprentices to become care specialists, which we also offer in our nursery, is very important to us.

2o. Forms of discussion in the team.

• During the daily handovers (early service / late service), important information from and for the parents and about the well-being of the children is exchanged among the staff.
• The regular team meetings serve to discuss pedagogical and organizational issues and to ensure a good flow of information. Pedagogical, organizational, personnel, etc. objectives for the nursery are developed together. Objectives for the nursery are developed and implemented together.
• Trainees and interns are regularly guided and supported by trained early childhood educators. The meetings include everyday issues, reviewing personal objectives, evaluating specific tasks and pedagogical problems.

21. withdrawal from contract If a student withdraws from the contract between the signing of the contract and the date of entry, a one-time expense fee in the amount of one month's fee is owed according to the contract. The first regular day of care after settling in is considered the date of entry.

**22 Termination / Withdrawal The termination of the daycare place takes place after written notice of termination with a two-month period of notice to the end of the month. An exception is made for children entering kindergarten. These childcare places can also be terminated at the end of the summer vacations of the school Rathausen. In case of termination by mutual agreement (in the best interest of the child) during the settling-in period, a flat fee of 200.- plus the settling-in fee is owed. The children's group will be informed of the child's departure and this will be discussed in accordance with the child's age. With a farewell party we create a ritual to say goodbye to each other.

**23. exclusion The exclusion of a child can take place at any time at the end of a week without giving reasons (e.g. non-payment of fees, violation of the contract, unacceptable behavior of the child in the group, etc.). The decision will be communicated in writing.
