Haus Magdalena, Stiftung Leben gewinnen (Schattdorf)

The house Magdalena offers space for 3 mothers with 1 - 4 children. If necessary, we rent up to 5 external apartments as a transitional step to independent living with the child.

Aims of the stay

• Ensuring the well-being of the child, including the unborn child

**Conditions of admission Mothers and their children in the above-mentioned situations are accepted, who need physical and psychological recovery in order to continue to exist in today's social system.
The Foundation "Winning Life" is not oriented to accept drug-addicted mothers.
The stay of mother and child can last from the beginning of pregnancy until the child is two to ten years old. Long-term placement is also possible.

Pedagogical therapeutic concept Children who grow up in a protected family become more independent adults. In an increasingly disintegrating society, many children lack this security, which is fundamental in the first three years of life for the most positive development possible. For this reason, we attach great importance to providing the children and their mothers with a sense of security and safety. A regular daily structure characterized by rituals and a basic appreciative attitude towards our clientele support this and are at the center of our work.

The life-affirming framework can help the mothers with their children to experience a recovery in the physical and psychological area. The examination of their own life history and personal resources helps the residents to move forward in their personal process (see goals of the stay).

Our concept is based on basic Christian values. The examination of the Christian basic values is a part of our living together. A lived relationship with God can encourage and enable the women, together with their children, to face the tasks and problems of everyday life with self-responsibility and courage.
