If a child is cared for in addition to the agreed times, Fr. 15.- per hour will be charged or, in the case of full days, the above individual rates will be invoiced.

If siblings visit our facilities, the second and each additional child receives a 10% reduction on the daily rate.**

**Rhythm "The whole life requires rhythm". (Plato)

Rhythmics can be defined with the explanation "education through movement and music" not exhaustively, but understandably. The children deal with music, make and experience music. They feel the rhythms, pick them up and transform them into movement. In the community, circle and movement games are played, there is singing, dancing and much more. The children have a whole range of musical and rhythmic instruments, scarves, balls, parachutes, hoops and special rhythmic materials at their disposal.

**In the rhythmic sequences, the following areas are playfully promoted and expanded:

Motor skills: Relationship to one's own body, gross and fine motor skills, coordination, independence, reaction and endurance, creative skills.

Emotional area: Ability to experience and emotional involvement, including sensitivity to moods and situations, as well as the ability to spontaneous, imaginative expression.

Cognitive area (thinking):
Training of the thinking ability, ability for abstraction and verbal expression. The differentiated perception with all senses and the concentration, as well as the memory are addressed.

Social area: The development of healthy self-esteem, independence, the ability to lose during the play sequence and making oneself understood are promoted. The sense of community is developed (trust, responsibility, tolerance, solidarity, cooperation and helpfulness).

We regularly offer English classes for the children, which are lovingly and competently prepared and conducted by a staff member. The lessons are fun and successful. Everything is based on the mother tongue principle. The children learn, just like the mother tongue, through repeated listening and positive reinforcement. Through play they learn the correct accent, grammar and vocabulary. Games, verses, songs, movement sequences and direct instruction alternate harmoniously. Classes are held once a week and last 60 minutes. Depending on the needs, courses are offered for beginners and/or for advanced learners. The English course can be booked by semester and usually takes place within one semester (outside school vacations).

o1. Location and infrastructure The Bienehuus daycare center is located at Seestrasse 134 and 134a in Küsnacht.
Spacious rooms and a large entrance area invite children to play and linger. The group rooms offer the best conditions for group work (singing, playing, storytelling, etc.), free play, work studio (painting, handicrafts, kneading, etc.), rhythm room (movement and music), as well as sufficient space for retreat and rest. The nursery has direct access to the nursery garden, which invites children to play. There are various outdoor playground equipment, plenty of space for playing, jumping and romping, and a wide variety of natural materials such as sand, water, wood and stones. To bring and fetch the children, the parking spaces on Untere Dorfstrasse and the pedestrian underpass must be used.
From the train station in Küsnacht, the nursery is a 3-minute walk on a stroller-friendly path. The central location allows us to reach the lake and the forest (Tobel) in a short time.

o2. Mission The private day care center Bienehuus Küsnacht is an educational, family-supplementing day care offer for children of pre-school age. We see ourselves as a learning organization and strive for continuous development of our facility. The following focal points are at the center of our work:
Socio-educational mission Education refers to the specific teaching of social values and norms, especially in the area of interpersonal manners.
The educational mission of the nursery refers to the personality-building aspects of dealing with children, which are not readily available or given in the everyday world of life. For example, in the area of introduction to culture, creativity or language education, targeted stimulation and support is to be sought.
The community and integrative mission results from the diverse composition of the nursery's clientele. By striving for social, cultural and age-related mixing, daycare centers create ideal places where social learning takes place and offer opportunities for developing a sense of community and integration.
Societal mission The change of roles in society means that day nurseries support the process of emancipation, as they are able to meet this interest by offering childcare places, thus enhancing the value of home and childcare work.
The preventive mission refers to the prevention of problems. On the one hand by early recognition of conspicuous behavior of children, on the other hand by accompanying parents in difficult stages of upbringing. In both cases, the staff provide parents with targeted advice and support and, if necessary, refer them to counseling centers.

o3. Target group The daycare center has a total of 22 places in two family groups (mixed-age groups), which can be booked by the day. Children are admitted to the nursery from eight weeks until they enter kindergarten.

o4. Social-pedagogical attitude In our nursery, the children are the center of attention. We regard and respect them as independent personalities. It is important for the child to build good and supportive relationships with the educators so that he/she can develop enough trust to express his/her needs and follow them. The children should feel comfortable and accepted, therefore we perceive their needs and pay attention to them sensitively.

Another important aspect of social development in infancy is regular contact with other children. Even the youngest children look for and need other children. They stimulate each other and learn a lot from each other. In order for the child to practice "social learning," rules and activities appropriate to his or her age and development are important. Through the confrontation with boundaries within the group, through the experience of being accepted and tolerated by others and through the example set by the educators, the child can adopt positive models for its social behavior. They learn to endure conflict situations, to show their own feelings, learn to argue and to suggest solutions, i.e. to compromise.

Children need opportunities to move during the day in order to experience and measure their physical strength and limits. To this end, we offer opportunities in the nursery with versatile and changeable materials. When selecting and storing these, we take into account that their use by the children can also be done partially without our help. If possible, the children should be able to spend a lot of time outdoors and pursue their activities there. The material that can be found in nature encourages creative play. A conscious interaction with nature and animals is important to us. To this end, we use playgrounds, the nature reserve, the forest and excursions into the surrounding area.

Children need retreats in order to be able to pursue their individual needs. We offer the children the use of all rooms in the nursery. Free play also occupies an important place in this area. With a wide range of play activities, the child is given the opportunity to develop cognitively and gain experience.

The promotion of health is a central concern, therefore we pay attention to balanced nutrition, as well as to the age and the development of the child appropriate promotion and care. Care situations are experienced holistically by the children so that they can develop a healthy body feeling. At mealtimes, we emphasize a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere, thus promoting fun-filled social gatherings.

Children who are experiencing difficulties can only develop their personality optimally if the caregivers recognize and name the difficulties at an early stage and give the child the necessary support.
In the daycare center's daily routine, we specifically look for ways or take measures to help the child overcome his or her difficulties. In these situations, discussions with the parents are of particular importance. However, we also attach importance to talking and exchanging ideas with parents in everyday life.

It is important to us to educate the children towards independence by using the opportunities of everyday life so that they can practice this. We are convinced that independent children can develop a healthy self-confidence / self-esteem and are therefore less at risk of addiction and more positive in life.

In summary, the goal of care at the Bienehuus Küsnacht daycare center is age-appropriate promotion of holistic development, which is achieved through upbringing, education and care. The caregivers provide for the child's physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being and promote linguistic, motor and cognitive skills.

o6. Guidelines / Supervision The day nursery Bienehuus Küsnacht follows the guidelines of the Association of Day Nurseries in Switzerland (KiTaS) and is its member. The operation is regularly inspected by the guardianship authority and the food inspectorate. Chinderhuus Küsnacht GmbH is responsible for supervision in accordance with the guidelines of the guardianship authority.

o8. Care / Care Team Playing together, laughing, painting, singing, dancing, arguing or doing handicrafts, all this (and much more) is possible at the Bienehuus Küsnacht daycare center. In different groups we give the children space for new contacts and experiences. The child is at the center of our pedagogical work. We take them seriously and accompany and support them on their individual path. Our caregivers create a loving atmosphere of security and trust for the children, in which they can develop and grow as individuals.

The care team includes pedagogically trained persons, apprentices and young interns. Thus, there is a good mix of expertise, youthfulness, constancy and renewal. The coordination and management is taken over by the management. We promote the further education of our employees within the scope of our financial possibilities.

o9. Opening hours / Vacations, holidays The opening hours of the day nursery Bienehuus Küsnacht are:
Monday to Thursday from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Friday from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.

During the summer, the nursery is closed for two weeks (weeks 31 and 32), as well as between Christmas and New Year, and on the following feast days and holidays: Good Friday, Easter Monday, Sechseläuten- Monday, May 1, Ascension Day (Thu and Fri), Whit Monday, August 1, Knabenschiessen- Monday.

The necessary care time per child is discussed individually with the parents and should not exceed 9 hours per day. In order to offer the child a certain constancy in the group and in the care relationship, we recommend a minimum attendance of 2 days per week.

1o. Daily schedule / Meals Children are brought to the nursery by 9 am at the latest. After snack, the children are supervised in groups. After lunch, there is a rest period during which the children sleep or pursue a quiet activity.
We pay attention to age-appropriate, healthy nutrition and the meals are freshly prepared every day. The children also receive a z'Nüni and a z'Vieri.
We ask the parents not to give the children any food, nor any sweets such as chewing gum, sweets, chocolate, etc. The children are cared for without coercion or punishment. Enjoyment of food is important, that the children eat everything is less important. When the children are tired, they are allowed to sleep, but there is no obligation to sleep. Personal hygiene, washing hands and brushing teeth should not become a procedure, but a positive experience.

11. admission criteria / admission procedure The childcare places are available to interested parents who can arrange a visit and/or request an application form. This registration is non-binding for both parties. In case of high demand, we maintain a waiting list.
As soon as a place becomes available in the foreseeable future, we will contact the parents. If the child can be admitted, this will be recorded in writing between the parents and the management.

12. financing / parental contributions When the contract is signed, a deposit of the amount of one month's fee must be paid. This deposit will be refunded without interest if the child withdraws in time and in writing, but will be forfeited if the child withdraws in any other way. The costs of the childcare places are regulated in the parent contribution regulations and are calculated taking into account the days of occupancy. The monthly statement is sent to the parents with a payment slip. If the parents no longer require a monthly invoice, this can be reported to the office.
Monthly fees are payable in advance, no later than the 28th of the month. If payment is overdue by more than 30 days, the place can be given to someone else.
If a child comes to the nursery in addition to the agreed days, the usual daily rates or (for additional individual hours) Fr. 15.- per hour will be charged.

13 Admission / settling-in period. After the contract has been signed, arrangements will be made regarding the date of entry, acclimatization period, costs, etc.
In order to facilitate the entry and the first time in the nursery, the parents or a parent accompany their child partly through the daily routine in the nursery. The settling-in period begins slowly, with a few hours, and increases in an adapted manner. The duration and form of the familiarization phase can change according to the child's situation. The daycare management decides on the length of the acclimation period. At the beginning of the settling-in period, an admission interview takes place.
A brief exchange about the child's condition takes place daily between the parents and the daycare staff.

**14. clothes The children should wear appropriate, durable clothing for the weather, which they can also wear when playing, doing handicrafts and outdoors. Their own spare clothes, depending on the season (including caps, gloves, swimming trunks, etc.), should always be available in the nursery. Likewise, underwear, slippers, rubber boots, rain jacket and rain pants should also be deposited in the nursery. Please label all clothes, shoes, jackets, etc. with the child's name. We will give the dirty clothes to the parents to wash at home.

15. personal toys It is nice for the child to take his/her favorite toy, cuddly toy or nuggi with him/her. However, we make you aware that we cannot take responsibility if something gets broken or lost. So please leave precious things at home, as well as weapons and war toys.

16. illness / absence of the children. In order to enable a fixed group composition, which is important for the child and the caregivers, binding attendance times of the children apply. These are determined at daycare entry according to the needs of the parents and the capacity of the daycare.

Absences cannot be compensated. For organizational reasons, absences must be reported to the childcare team by 9 a.m. at the latest. The team must be informed as early as possible (at least 2 weeks in advance) about vacation absences. Sick children must not be brought to the nursery. If a child becomes ill in the daycare during the day, parents will be notified to pick up the child. Parents are responsible for doctor's appointments.
