Kita Aare (Thun)

Exercise and nature - these are the cornerstones of the Aare daycare center.

The former Ruag factory building is quietly located in the Thun industrial park close to the city center and was converted in 2009 to make it suitable for children and daycare centers. The light-flooded, loft-like space is divided by transparent walls so that all four groups have their own retreat. There is an experimental corner, a wall bars and special movement elements such as a wobble board. The daycare center has been awarded the Qualikita label. A sandpit and lots of cars and bicycles are waiting to be used on the sheltered forecourt. The highlight of the Kita Aare, however, is the nearby children's play park. The Aare Bibere nature experience group spends their days here twice a week, cooking their own lunch on the fire pit. The natural nature experience area with a lawn, a boat, a carriage and lots of wood for building is a paradise for curious children.

The area around Uttigenstrasse, where the Aare daycare center is located, is set to become a mixed and lively new urban quarter in the coming years.

The Aare Bibere nature experience group spends the whole day outdoors twice a week at our "Biberbau" nature experience site. The children experience nature up close, whatever the weather. Nature offers space for a variety of experiences. The children can create and experiment for themselves, experience adventures and learn to overcome obstacles. The group cooks lunch on the fire pit
