Under the direction of Claudia Dubs and her competent and motivated team, children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years can spend an unforgettable and unique time.

In the Kita Murmeli and its surroundings we create the best conditions to bring children closer to animals and nature. The children learn to take responsibility, to decide and act independently. They develop a strong personality with healthy self-esteem and high social competence.

Day nursery

Origins and motives

The nursery Murmeli is the result of the original playgroup Knopf. Founded by Claudia Dubs in 2000.

In 2015 we were granted the cantonal permit for the nursery Murmeli. We care for a maximum of 17 children aged 6 months to 6 years in a loving environment and with lots of contact with animals and nature.

Pedagogical principles, goals and tasks

The child is the center of our attention. Every child is an independent personality and has the right to be perceived, accompanied and respected in his or her own way. The child is in the process of "becoming". In order to develop as much of his or her potential as possible, the child needs a variety of opportunities to experience. We respond to the individual needs and abilities and help the child to perceive himself in his development (promotion of self-confidence).

The child moves from the protected, familiar setting of the family into the larger community of the nursery. It is confronted with a wealth of new experiences, joys, but also fears, and must learn to deal with them. We give the child space and time to experience possibilities in order to find its place in the group. Every child should feel safe and comfortable with us. Unique experiences in the nursery Murmeli

Our program is very varied and offers many unique experiences. Whenever possible, we spend part of the day outdoors in the yard, in the forest or sometimes in our Indian tent.
