Kita Schorenhhof (Gwatt (Thun))

This house should once again be filled with the laughter of children.

That was the wish of the elderly couple who had lived in the beautiful, centuries-old farmhouse next to the Schoreneiche and raised children of their own. After their parents passed away, the children fulfilled this wish and leased the farmhouse to leolea. A daycare center has been operating here since February 2017. New floors and doors were installed; everything else was retained as-is. At the Schorenhof Daycare Center, children are cared for in two age groups. The rooms are lovingly furnished. The Stockhorn group has a separate area for toddlers who are still lying down and a play area for crawlers and walkers. The Niesen group offers a large activity room, a construction room, an art studio with a standing painting wall, a role-play corner, and a group room. A highlight is the spacious garden, where the children can explore nature. The garden features a real boat for playing and climbing, a wicker hut, a large lawn, apple trees, and a sandbox. In addition, many animals enrich daily life at the daycare: there are three cats—Mimi, Lili, and Momo—silk chickens, and in August 2018, the two mischievous mini-pigs, Carlo and Bruno, moved in with the chickens.
