KITA Sonnenblume- (Binningen)

The day care center Sonnenblume-Tournesol is a German-French day care center, open to the world, and to different cultures. We care for children between 3 months and 7 years and offer an age-appropriate promotion of social, emotional, linguistic, mental and physical skills.
Our guideline is based on the Montessori pedagogy.

Goals and principles

The goal of the day care center is to offer the children a framework in which they can unfold and develop according to their needs. Each child is treated with love and respect.
The day care center is a place of encounter, open to the world and to different cultures and languages.
We offer age-appropriate support for social, emotional, linguistic, mental and physical abilities.

Our guiding principles are:

• Providing a sense of security through structured daily routines and rituals

Bilingualism

Parents often ask themselves many questions about bilingualism: What is the best method for learning two languages at the same time?
It is a fact that children who grow up bilingual are very lucky: to be able to speak a second language without accent without any effort and often effortlessly on the side, if they learn it at the youngest age.
Our goal is to bring the child into contact with bilingualism as early as possible. The German-speaking and French-speaking teachers will look after the children in their respective mother tongues, so that the youngest and the older children can hear and absorb the languages in an informal way in everyday life.

Our guiding principle is the perception and promotion of each individual child in small groups in order to maintain a family atmosphere.
