KiTa Storchennest (Grossaffoltern)

**The Storchennest daycare center cares for children from the age of 3 months until they start school.

The KiTa Storchennest association offers professional day care for children from the age of 3 months until they start school. The extra-familial day care in the Kita is open to all children. A reason why the child should be cared for at the daycare center does not have to be given. Children residing in the municipality of Grossaffoltern have priority in the selection process.

Our daily work is derived from the following principles:

• We accept each child with all his strengths and weaknesses and like to have him.
• We respect the child as a human being, just as we ourselves want to be respected.
• We listen to the children and let them finish.
• We support the children in their independent activities by encouraging and challenging them according to their age.
• We do not use physical or psychological violence.
• Every child is valuable and deserves our trust and attention.
• We involve the children and their suggestions for solutions in the development of rules and boundaries.

Spaces

The KiTa is located on the first floor of the former restaurant Kreuz (Vorimholz). We deliberately furnish the rooms as sparingly as possible. With cloths, pillows, ropes, cardboard rolls, etc., the children can design their own rooms. We use every space as a playroom, which is deliberately not meant to set any limits on the imagination. This allows the checkroom to become a construction site, the dining tables to be transformed into cages for predators, and much more.
